Part time Payroll Assistant
We are currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join a well established accountancy practice based in Colchester. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a growing business and take on a key role in the payroll department. If you have payroll experience in either an accountancy practice or bureau then we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:
- Support payroll compliance work for clients of the practice
- Ensuring payrolls and compliance are completed in a timely manner
- Assisting with Input and management of payroll data including employees and contractors
- Dealing with SMP, SSP, SPP, coding notices, P45, holidays and pensions
- Managing starters and leavers
- Calculation of pay rates/overtime/bonuses/holidays
- Assisting with CIS schemes and monthly returns
- Liaising with and dealing with queries from clients
- Producing journals for the finance department
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience working in payroll in a UK accountancy practice or bureau
- Experience with Moneysoft & Iris
- Good communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with clients
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately and efficiently to deadlines
