Responsibilities:
• Driving the Corporate tax department with a focus on clients operating in Saudi or globally from both an advisory and compliance perspective.
• Be responsible for building close relationships with a wide range of clients and working as part of a team to deliver corporate tax services, including corporate tax advisory, tax planning, tax strategy, tax compliance, increasing post-tax profits, and providing guidance and recommendations to achieve the best corporate tax practices.
• Be able to deliver and manage complex corporate tax projects. Knowledge of the BEPS initiatives and the latest international tax developments will be an advantage.
• A thorough understanding of the Corporate Tax rules and keeping abreast of the constantly evolving legislative changes in Saudi.
• Proactive targeting and referral to ensure the business development target of the department and firm are met.
• Be the Saudi point of contact for inbound referrals from overseas offices, building your network within the firm.
• Driving business development to identify opportunities, both independently and across other lines of services, to have conversations and win work with new and existing clients.
• Manage and deliver projects by developing the project team, assessing engagement risks throughout, driving conclusions, and reviewing/challenging the output produced by the team.
• Train, coach, and supervise team members.
• Be responsible for performing conflict checks or any inbound leads and proactively taking steps to mitigate the conflict if any by the guidance provided as per IESBA.
Desired Skills and Qualifications:
• ACA, ACCA, CTA, ADIT, or equivalent professional qualification along with basic graduation in accounting.
• Having a minimum of 12 years of experience in a large accounting firm having a multi-jurisdictional presence.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT, ESR, Transfer Pricing, BEPS 2.0, and CbCR is an advantage
• Good command of written and spoken English
