Job description
An exciting and rarely available opportunity has arisen within NHS Lanarkshire for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join the OPAT Clinical Nurse Specialist Team. We are seeking suitably experienced Registered Nurses who will embrace this dynamic and challenging role. The post holder should possess knowledge of the management of patients with complex infections and will be required to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously, proactively and as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team caring for this patient group. This will involve working across professional and organisational boundaries in partnership with other acute care nursing and medical staff, allied health professionals and senior management teams. The applicant should possess the ability to prioritise fluctuating workloads, remain focused and be flexible in an extremely busy and dynamic clinical environment.
Specialist clinical practitioner providing care, expert advice and support, operating within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire.
The post holder will ensurea person centered approach to care delivery which is safe and effective to ensure and maintain quality strategy.
To contribute to the development and implementation of a programme of clinical audit and research activity.
The successful candidate will be fully supported in their professional development of enhanced clinical knowledge and clinical decision-making skills appropriate to the OPAT Clinical Nurse Specialist role.
Qualifications to be undertaken:
• Non-medical prescribing NMC registered (NISP)
• Advanced Clinical Examination accredited course, preferably at level 11
• Anatomy, Physiology and Pathophysiology Module
