Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Bristol
Employment Type: Permanent
Working arangement: Hybrid
Salary: £55-65k p/a (DOE)
Randstad are partnered with a market leader in the water industry looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a permanent basis, with hybrid working available.
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly to the Managing Quantity Surveyor and will be responsible for overseeing the commercial management of projects.
Role Overview:
● Conducting quantity surveying tasks to manage projects and work packages effectively
● Collaborating with design, construction, and supply chain teams to analyse and control costs
● Engaging with clients to ensure business requirements are met satisfactorily
● Managing the main contract, including identification and issuance of contractual notices and correspondence
● Preparing and issuing subcontract documentation and assisting in subcontractor management
● Overseeing the preparation and agreement of applications for payment
● Generating project cost and value reports, budgets, and forecasts
● Assisting in the management and development of junior commercial staff
● Participating in external networking, conferences, and associations to stay updated on industry developments
About you:
● Working towards or have chartered membership of a recognised institution
● Experience in utilities or civil engineering
● Familiarity with standard forms of contract such as NEC, IChemE
● Experience in claim management upstream and downstream (highly advantageous)
● Knowledge of the MEICA sector (highly advantageous)
