Job description
Join one of my medium sized residential developers that is committed to delivering high-quality homes and exceptional communities. With a focus on innovation and sustainability, they strive to set new standards in residential development and they are keen to have a Technical Manager join their team to manage one of their newest developments driving distance from Reading.
This project will cater for over 250 new homes over a number of phases as well as other facilities for the wider community such as convenience stores, healthcare and community facilities. This is a brownfield site therefore someone with experience working on s278 agreements, utilities, diversions and contaminated land will be required.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee technical aspects of residential development projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
- Manage utility and diversion issues, leveraging your expertise to mitigate risks and streamline processes effectively.
- Address challenges related to contaminated land, implementing appropriate solutions to safeguard project integrity and environmental sustainability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, construction, and regulatory bodies to drive project success from inception to completion.
- Lead negotiations and coordination efforts for s278 issues, fostering productive relationships with relevant stakeholders to achieve project objectives efficiently.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Technical Manager within the residential development sector, demonstrating a track record of successful project delivery.
- Comprehensive knowledge of utilities and diversion issues, coupled with the ability to navigate regulatory frameworks effectively.
- Expertise in managing challenges associated with contaminated land, with a proactive approach to risk management and environmental stewardship.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, essential for engaging with stakeholders and resolving complex issues collaboratively.
- Ideally, a minimum of 10 years' experience working on new build projects, encompassing the entire project lifecycle from inception to completion.
