Overview
We’re collaborating with a Rugby-based organisation seeking a part-time team member. Flexible scheduling options include either three full days per week or reduced hours spread over several days.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will handle various financial and administrative responsibilities:
- Manage the purchase ledger: invoice processing, payment runs, statement reconciliations, monitoring purchase orders, and resolving queries.
- Process employee expenses and undertake bank reconciliations.
- Oversee the sales ledger: raising invoices, cash allocation, and credit control.
- Reception duties.
- Handle accounting tasks such as journal entries, quarterly VAT submissions, and stationery management.
- Assist with monthly and annual financial procedures including payroll, management accounts, and year-end audit files.
- Assist in budgeting, cash-flow forecasting, and maintaining site service and health & safety records.
The Candidate
- Will be part-qualified in AAT or qualified by experience.
- Has a strong background in accounting and administration, preferably with knowledge of Sage accounting and payroll systems.
- Is proactive, collaborative, and ready to take on varied tasks.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills, commercial awareness, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
- Upholds high standards of integrity, discretion, and trustworthiness.
Based just outside Rugby and within commutable distance of Rugby, Crick, Long Buckby, Daventry and Lutterworth

- Salary: £13- circa £17 per hour – depending on experience
- Hours: 20-24 hours per week (office based – may consider hybrid after probation)
