Job Title: SENIOR QUALITY INSPECTOR
Location: Coventry
Salary: £34,000 - £39,000
Hours: Monday to Thursday - 7:30am to 4:30pm
Friday - 7:30am to 12:30pm
Our Coventry based client are a supplier to the aerospace and defence industries for over 40 years, specialising in producing precision components. They work with a range of materials including brass, aluminium, mild and chromium steels to Inconel and stainless steels.
As an Inspector you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be working in a small but highly effective team where the highest of standards will be expected from both a technical and behavioural perspective.
Day to day, you'll ensure no product non-conformity escapes to customers.
You'll accurately and appropriately measure product features to determine conformance/non-conformance to drawing/model and improve the inspection processes to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness.
You'll conduct inspection processes to meet Customer & internal requirements and conduct measurements of products/ tooling and fixtures as required.
Roles and Responsibilities:
⦁ Ten years plus MITUTOYO CMM Programming and Setting Experience using MCOSMOS software, inspecting precision components with tight tolerances (> 10 microns) for companies working in aerospace and defence sector
⦁ Conversant with Product Inspection First Principles
⦁ Ability to read and interpret drawings including GD&T
⦁ Use of calibrated inspection equipment such as mic, vernier, bores mics etc
⦁ PC Literate, particularly in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
⦁ Good verbal, communication and analytical skills
⦁ Willingness to Learn
