Job Description
The key responsibilities of a Finance Officer will include, but may not be limited to;
- Assist with financial planning and budgeting processes
- Prepare monthly financial reports and statements
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
- Contribute to the development of financial strategies
- Supportaudit processes
- Participate in financial projects and initiatives
- Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts
- Provide financial advice to colleagues and stakeholders
The Successful Applicant
A successful Finance Officer should have:
- Public Sector and Government background desirable
- A degree or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent understanding of financial regulations and standards
- Proficiency in financial software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to commute to Salford
- Strong communication skills for explaining financial concepts to non-financial staff
