Job description
As a Garment Technologist you are accountable for every aspect related to quality, including size specifications, sampling, fabric testing, and production assessments.
Key Responsibilities of this Garment Technologist –
Evaluate samples and take appropriate action from initial stages to production.
Formulate size specifications and liaise with testing labs and suppliers for approval.
Maintain and improve quality standards, including overseeing CSR and performing AQL inspections at production sites
Support QA Manager and maintain effective communication with internal departments and suppliers.
Ensure ethical standards are met
Handle customer returns and quality issues in stores and coordinate any necessary reprocessing or remedial work.
Perform Add hoc duties as required
To be successful in this Garment Technologist –
Ideally 2-3 years experience in a Garment Technologist role from a clothing/fashion background
A HND or BA (Bachelor of Arts) or equivalent in Clothing Technology or Manufacture/Fashion is preferable.
Open to someone from retail or supplier side
Good communication skills
Grading/sizing experience is desirable
Ability to work under pressure
