Job description

Robert Half is recruiting for an Interim Accountant to join one of our manufacturing clients based in Essex.

This is a hybrid role working 2 days in the office 3 days at home (potential to drop to 1 day in the office).

For this role you must be immediately available and able to commit to a minimum of 9 months.

Our client can offer in the region of £250 per day with flex for the right candidate.

Main Duties:

• Prepare monthly subsidiary and consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare and maintain daily, monthly and Quarterly management reports.
• Maintain a multi-divisional general ledger including maintenance of chart of accounts.
• Responsible for monthly, quarterly and year end book close process.
• Provide support and oversight to functional areas such as A/R A/P and payroll.
• Maintain knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
• Manage the quarterly and yearly external audit and review process
• Assist in the budget process
• Assist in the preparation of multi-jurisdictional and statutory tax returns

Attributes:

• Degree/Qualification in Finance
• Previous multi-divisional experience
• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment essential
• Accounting-based analytical skills and experience, with a focus on providing data-driven financial insights and recommendations for operational improvements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
