Job Introduction
As a Senior Health and Safety Advisor at Sodexo based in St James Gate - Dublin with travel to other UK&I sites, you play a pivotal role in fostering a positive health and safety culture across all service lines.
Your primary focus is to ensure compliance with Sodexo UK&I Health & Safety, Food Safety, Risk, Business Continuity, and Environmental policies and processes.

What you’ll do:
- Promote Safety Culture: Drive and promote a positive safety culture through various activities outlined in this Job Description.
- Policy Implementation: Review and implement policies and procedures for Health & Safety, ensuring appropriate monitoring is in place, and personnel are adequately trained.
- Expert Advice: Provide competent and best practice advice on Health & Safety issues across all service lines.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Contract HSE Manager, Corporate Services HSE teams, and the wider HSEQ Community to drive continual improvement on the Diageo IOI contract..
- Risk Management: Monitor the production and review of risk assessments and safe work practices, ensuring they are sufficient and proportionate to the risk.
- Incident Reporting: Ensure accidents and near misses are reported and investigated to legislative standards, providing timely reporting and completion of investigations.
- Stakeholder Management: Promote and maintain relationships with HSEQ teams, Head of Quality, Health & Safety, and statutory authorities.
- Team Engagement: Conduct regular team meetings, cascade key information, and updates, appraising performance, and attending regular meetings with the HSEQ teams.
What you bring:
- Experience: Considerable experience in HSE leadership roles, preferably within a multi-site environment.
- Expertise: Proven expertise in providing competent advice on Health & Safety issues, risk management, and compliance.
- Collaboration: Strong collaborative skills, working effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
- Continuous Improvement: Proven track record in driving continuous improvement in incident and accident rates.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, ensuring effective reporting, incident communication, and team engagement.
