What you will do in your working day

This role is key to supporting the Company with consistently high standards in the delivery of the range of penetration testing that we offer to our clients, including scoping, testing, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working in the Pen Testing team, contributing to team forums, knowledge libraries and internal learning resources.
• Gaining technical knowledge relevant to current penetration testing tools, techniques, and processes, alongside researching new and notable vulnerabilities.
• Understanding relevant national and international policies and standards as well as wider cyber trends in the industry.
• Utilising internal training material and methodologies to strengthen knowledge shared by the wider team.
• Regularly shadowing penetration testing activities to gain further knowledge.
• Providing basic penetration testing as part of the team to include INF, APP, and Cloud.
• Undertaking the necessary training and development to excel in your role. 

The training you will be getting

Cyber Security Technical Professional (Integrated Degree) Apprenticeship Standard:

• CSTM
• Azure-900
• AWS Cloud Practitioner
• CSTP (Degree)

Qualifications; BSC (Hons) Cyber Security Technical Professional Degree. Apprentices without Level 2 English and maths must achieve this prior to taking the end-point assessment.

Professional Recognition; recognised for entry to Institute of Information Security Professionals membership at Associate level.

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

The applicant will be able to progress their learning and development with other training and become specialised in e.g. cloud configuration, web app or infrastructure training. With the relevant training, skills, experience, and industry certifications there is an opportunity to map progression routes and learning pathways to becoming a Senior or Principal Consultant further into their career.
