The Care at Home team is looking for a carer for a couple in Bath, Somerset. The lady is self-caring but needs medication supervision. The gentleman suffers from cancer, dysphagia, left-sided weakness due to a stroke, disorientation, limited sight, and unable to mobilise. The client requires assistance with washing, dressing, shaving, and cleaning teeth. Medication supervision is also needed as well as help with toileting and incontinence. The gentleman is not able to bear weight and assistance with transferring is needed – there is a mobile sling hoist ann manual wheelchair in situ. The client requires all food to be pureed and supervision is required at all times. The gentleman likes to be taken out in his wheelchair daily, likes to listen to classical music, poetry, architecture, sport, travel, and conversation. The carer we are looking for needs to be experienced with this type of care, be calm, patient, supportive, and understanding. Other duties will include cooking, shopping, housekeeping, and laundry.
