Housekeeper Job description

We are looking for a full time housekeeper for a property with 5 bedrooms and 5 en suites in Wilmslow, Cheshire.

The housekeeper will be on payroll and be offered a company pension.

The candidate should be local to the property and be a driver. There is parking on site.

A housekeeper that speaks English is preferred.

The candidate will ideally have previous private household experience and be comfortable organising inventories and other aspects relevant for a well managed household ie, leasing with work people / gardeners etc.

The Housekeeper will work 5 days a week (Monday to Friday) from 10am to 6pm (8 hours a day) - but be flexible at times. Overtime will be paid if worked.

Bank holidays are taken off.

Standard holiday allowance of 25 days is offered.

This is a live out position.

The housekeeper must have relevant visas to work and live in the UK.

Housekeeper Duties

Cleaning and maintaining a private residence to make sure that it meets all housekeeping requirements and providing a comfortable space for the family, candidate will need own transport and from the household and time to time may be asked to travel to another local family home, for example, during holiday season.

• Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures
• Cleaning woodwork
• Clearing fireplace
• Cleaning and sanitising toilets, showers / bathtubs, countertops and sinks
• Maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen area including appliances
• Making beds and changing linens
• Washing windows
• Vacuuming and cleaning carpets and rugs
• Sweeping / vacuuming, polishing, and mopping hard floors
• Sorting, washing, loading, and unloading laundry
• Ironing clothing items
• Using any cleaning equipment such as vacuums, mops, and other cleaning tools
• Keeping bathrooms stocked with clean towels, toiletries, and other supplies
• Cleaning mirrors and other glass surfaces
• Emptying rubbish and disposing of waste correctly
• Managing bins and recycling
• Tidying rooms
• Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
• Reporting any necessary repairs or replacements
• Food shopping when needed
• Assisting with posting and receiving parcels
• There is a sauna that is rarely used, but will need to be maintained clean

We are looking for someone with the ability to work independently and efficiently with strong attention to detail that has good time management skills.

There is also security working at the property for the family, no other private staff.

Salary will be decided based on experience.
