ROLE: Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School
PAY: £21,500 per annum (Around £110 per day)
CONTRACT TYPE: Full time and Permanent Contract
LOCATION: Southwest London - Lambeth
A successful Secondary School in Wandsworth is looking to appoint a Learning Support Assistant, who is able to demonstrate a commitment to working with young people, of all backgrounds and abilities.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be working in a school that believes in a collaborative approach between staff, students, and parents, working together to support the students in reaching their full potential.
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be supporting KS3-KS5 pupils on a 1:1 basis or working with children in small groups to improve standards across the school.

Job description – Learning Support Assistant
• Learning Support Assistant
• Working in Secondary school across a range of ages KS3 – KS5 and subjects
• Supporting children on a 1:1 basis or in small groups
• Supporting academic and social progress
• Delivering catch-up and intervention sessions
• Monitoring and recording the impact of interventions including short term achievable targets for priority areas of learning
• Ensuring that students have opportunities to develop their skills as an independent learner
• Facilitating between parents, school and outside agencies working with the child, ensuring there is effective communication and continuity in approach
• ASAP start
• Permanent and full time, 8:30-5pm, during term time
• £21,500 per annum
• Located in Southwest London - Lambeth
Person Specification – Learning Support Assistant
• Strong academics across the board – Degree, A Levels, GCSEs
• Experience in a previous role would be ideal
• Reliability, dedication, and positive attitude
• Ability to communicate with and relate appropriately with young people and staff members
• Ability to maintain effective student support lesson records and evaluate the impact work undertaken
• Ability to liaise with school staff, families / carers, and external agencies both face to face and by telephone
• Perfect for aspiring Teachers!
• Good ICT skills
• You must be able to work effectively as part of a team
• Holds a registered DBS or be willing to apply for one ASAP
• You must be able to commit until at least July 2024
