Job description
Overview
We are looking for someone with a strong track record within client management to join a rapidly-growing food supplier as an Account Manager.
Salary: up to £30,000
The Role
- To manage an initial portfolio of 15 clients, developing the relationship and negotiating new sales. Portfolio will be increased with experience
- Calculate selling prices based on purchase costs, freight costs, storage costs and currency rates
- Enter full details of new sales contracts concluded into the Company IT system
- Monitor progress of sales contracts, attending to problems in the supply chain
- Take remedial actions as necessary to ensure the sales contracts are fulfilled as originally agreed with the customers
- To travel as necessary, meeting overseas clients and suppliers
Key Skills/Experience
- Ideally currently in a sales management role within a food/food ingredient supplier
- Experienced in handling food products from suppliers overseas
- Educated to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Outgoing, energetic, positive, honest, straightforward
- Experience of sourcing, transporting and importing of foodstuffs would be an advantage
- Role will appeal to an ambitious individual who wishes to join a rapidly-expanding business where their only limit on progression will be their own ability
