Job description

Integra Education are currently supporting a SEND School based in Billinge.

The school offers specialist support for learners with SEMH and ASD, aged 11-19. The school prides itself on providing a holistic approach to education, by preparing pupils for of all the opportunities, responsibilities, and experiences of adult life.

Integra Education is seeking a full time behaviour mentor to work closely with individual learners with challenging behaviour.

Learners are aged 11-19 and all have an EHCP, you will be required to work with the learners in their own homes or the community depending on the needs of the student. You will be confident and comfortable delivering set work and adapting it to meet the learners individual needs.

The position is full time with an immediate start with the view of a permanent position for the right candidate. We welcome and encourage applications from candidates with a care back ground, or a youth work back ground as well as welcoming applications from experienced education professionals.

Due to the needs of the learners the successful candidate must be committed supporting their group daily. Reliability and consistency is vital.

Must have

· Experience of working with children

· Ability to deal with challenging situations

· Good literacy and numeracy skills with knowledge across the curriculum.

· Excellent communication skills

· Resilience

· Behaviour management experience
