Project Manager with Rail Civil Engineering (Main Contractor)

Critical Project Resourcing Ltd

Location

Europe | United Kingdom

Job description

A main contractor is seeking a Project Manager from a rail engineering background to manage a number of rail projects within the region, a strong bias towards OLE is preferable, but equally the experience gained from a multidisciplinary project such as permanent way, signalling, or rail civil engineering is extremely welcome and valid. Experience from non rail power sectors could be an interesting skill set. A formal project management qualification such as APMP or Prince 2 is required, and clearly a range of interesting projects and client interaction is key. This contractor has the full support teams, including finance, commercial, planning and construction and thus the Project Manager needs to have the gravitas to bring teams together to manage the various projects of differing scales and complexity. Assistant project managers exists to support you in this role, which you will provide guidance too, so this cannot be your first Project, but those Project Managers with perhaps a couple of years experience at this level would have the gravitas depending on the scale of their projects. It would be good to talk to all rail project managers in the North Lanarkshire region who are considering a new project. If you are an especially accomplished APM at a main contractor with Rail/ OLE experience , it might be worth a chat as the client might be able to be accommodating.
