Job description

What you will do in your working day

• Bookkeeping for a variety of small and large client
• Posting purchase invoices and sales invoices
• Matching bank transactions to these to various software
• General client communications (phone calls and emails)
• Preparing the quarterly VAT Returns for each client
• Maintaining own client base
• Ensure records are requested, received and processed in a timely manner
• Preparing year end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships for manager review
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing self-assessment tax returns for clients
• Ability to supervise more junior staff and help with their development

The training you will be getting

• This is a Level 7 Degree Apprenticeship (Accountancy/ Taxation Professional - ACCA Route) with a total duration of 30 months
• The knowledge units will be delivered at the EMA training hub in Derby or Nottingham (depending on apprentices' location) through day release
• You will be allocated a Learning & Development Mentor to support you through the duration of your studies

What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship

• This role will be supporting the right candidate through their ACCA studies until qualified
• Following this a full time position will be availible

GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4) Essential

Things to consider
