Job description
What you will do in your working day
- Bookkeeping for a variety of small and large client
- Posting purchase invoices and sales invoices
- Matching bank transactions to these to various software
- General client communications (phone calls and emails)
- Preparing the quarterly VAT Returns for each client
- Maintaining own client base
- Ensure records are requested, received and processed in a timely manner
- Preparing year end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships for manager review
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing self-assessment tax returns for clients
- Ability to supervise more junior staff and help with their development
The training you will be getting - This is a Level 7 Degree Apprenticeship (Accountancy/ Taxation Professional - ACCA Route) with a total duration of 30 months
- The knowledge units will be delivered at the EMA training hub in Derby or Nottingham (depending on apprentices' location) through day release
- You will be allocated a Learning & Development Mentor to support you through the duration of your studies
What to expect at the end of your apprenticeship - This role will be supporting the right candidate through their ACCA studies until qualified
- Following this a full time position will be availible

Qualifications GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4) Essential
