Location: Flexible working with visits to our office in Wimbledon as and when required.

Salary: Competitive

Contract Type: 12 month fixed-term contract, Full Time

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Payroll Lead to join our Payroll team here at Domestic and General. We are currently implementing Workday so this role will play a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payment of payroll payments and taxes. This will also feature supervising our dedicated payroll team and collaborating with HR Operations and the Benefits and Reward teams that are key aspects to the role.

The ideal candidate will need to be analytical, methodical, and experienced in payroll administration. A deep understanding of payroll regulations is crucial as well as valuing qualities such as integrity, team spirit, and strong organizational skills.

Key responsibilities:

Collate and process all payroll information in a timely and accurate basis

Ensure compliance at all times with both Company policies and Statutory regulations.

Manage the payslip release day and answer any queries related to this.

Provide on-going training for employees to enable them to provide timely and relevant information to payroll, on all the changes that affect their team’s pay as well as company procedures.

Preparation of statistics on a monthly basis (external requirement)

Analyse, control and reconcile all types of salary deductions in preparation for payment to the relevant external bodies.

Control the transmission of data to Workday

Review of processed payroll for potential corrections

Preparation and set up of any off cycle payments

Processing month end Journal entries to the Accounting System.

Liaising with employees on all payroll queries as well as external bodies e.g HMRC

Skills and experience required for this:

Proven experience of running a large payroll from start to finish using Workday.

Advanced mathematical skills

Workday awareness and system knowledge

Good organisational skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to work as part of a team and lead them as well being able to work independently

Have the ability to be flexible, yet maintain fairness

Good communication skills both verbally and written

Sound knowledge of all statutory pay entitlements particularly in relation to sickness

Capable of working towards tight deadlines
