Head of Estates - Full Time Permanent
Joining us as Head of Estates, you will lead and manage a high quality and responsive Estates team for the benefit of students and staff, in line with the College’s strategic and operational plan. To provide advice and support in the ongoing development of a sustainable and vibrant learning environment, ensuring that all activities are working towards the agreed Estates Strategy (which the post holder will periodically update with the Vice Principal, Finance & Infrastructure). To ensure that sustainability and Health & Safety are embedded in the day to day operation of the site.
Here’s the standard bit: You’ll provide effective leadership for on the Estates contribution to the College Sustainability Plan (Carbon net zero) through required actions to meet Net Carbon Zero Targets as set as part of the FE Climate Roadmap. This includes contribution to ideas, initiatives and actions that embed good practice into everyday Estates activities. Managing staff and the resources of the Estates Department with an emphasis on maintaining and developing pro-active, efficient and effective services
What you’ll need: - Enthusiasm, resilience and highly motivated with 5 GCSEs at grades A* - C/ 4-9 or equivalent including Math’s and English, a NEBOSH Certificate, or willing to work towards one, coupled with providing an effective and efficient Estates service within a multiple building and / or multi campus environment.
