Morgan Hunt are currently working with a leading FE College based in East London who are currently seeking to appoint a full time permanent Work Experience Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting their students to gain valuable experience in the workplace. Employer engagement is key to the success of this role. You will be required to build, develop and maintain relationships with local, regional and national organisations to provide employer engagement opportunities for our students, through developing existing relationships, cold calling and networking opportunities.

The Work Experience Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Working effectively across the college to implement the college's work experience and Industry Placement programmes to support the college's strategic objectives
• Working collaboratively with curriculum teams and key external partners to deliver realistic and appropriate work experience, Industry placements and employability opportunities for college students
• Ensuring the required checks, risk assessments and permissions are completed and in place for students undertaking work experience and Industry Placements. Support and work with Management Information Systems to ensure all relevant information is recorded and updated accurately
• Supporting learners to complete statutory paperwork as appropriate
• Monitoring learners on placement and complete reports as required

The Work Experience Coordinator will need to have:

• Experience of delivering work experience opportunities for young people
• GCSE English & Maths (or equivalent)
• Knowledge and understanding of current government policy regarding T levels and industry placements
• Experience of employer engagement activity
