CSW - Senior Social Worker - CIN of Support & Protection (PO5/PO5+2)
Description
We are currently seeking a Senior Social Worker to join our team as a Child and Family Support & Protection Coordinator (CSW) within our Child in Need (CIN) team. As a CSW, you will be responsible for providing high-quality support and protection services to children and families in need, ensuring their safety and well-being. This role is vital in safeguarding children and promoting their welfare.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive assessments and case reviews to identify children at risk and develop effective intervention plans.
Lead and coordinate multi-agency meetings to ensure collaborative working and effective communication between different professionals involved in a case.
Provide direct support to children and families, addressing their specific needs and promoting positive change.
Work with families to build resilience, develop protective factors, and support them in making sustainable positive changes.
Prepare accurate and concise reports for court proceedings, including care plans, child protection plans, and statements.
Liaise with partner agencies, such as schools, healthcare providers, and the police, to gather necessary information and facilitate appropriate support for children and families.
Monitor and review support plans regularly to ensure they are effective and meet the needs of the children and families involved.
Requirements
A recognized Social Work qualification and current registration with the relevant regulatory body.
Significant experience working as a Social Worker in a child protection setting, including experience in carrying out assessments and managing complex cases.
In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures related to child protection and safeguarding.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships with children, families, and professionals from other agencies.
Excellent communication and report-writing skills, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
The ability to work independently and make informed decisions, prioritizing workload effectively.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and a willingness to keep up-to-date with changes in legislation and best practice.

Pay Per Hour: £28.55
