Manufacturing Engineer

Andor has ambitious growth plans for the next 4-year period, and this role will play an important part in implementing the growth strategy. The Manufacturing Engineer will work in an agile Manufacturing Engineering team enhancing Andor’s innovative scientific product portfolio and providing technical support.

 

The role will support current production, new product introduction, and process and capacity development to meet the strategic growth plans for the business . This includes analysing and developing the production processes and flows, facilitating increased capacity and efficiency, improving footprint utilisation, supporting operations output through root cause analysis, continuous improvement and technical support, the introduction of new products, processes and equipment, developing test and manufacturing systems, and managing KPIs.

 

This permanent position is based at our Belfast headquarters full time onsite


The Manufacturing Engineer will have:

 

BEng or BSc qualification in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification and 3 years relevant experience

or

HND qualification in Electrical / Electronic / Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification and 5 years relevant experience

 

Relevant experience is developing manufacturing and test systems, optimisation of end-to-end processes to deliver capacity growth or improve yield, improving space utilisation and factory flow, and implementing continuous improvement / lean manufacture. Evidence of high initiative and the ability to learn quickly.
