Job description

If you choose to work at Ernesford you will be joining a science team who are dedicated to developing in their staff, a passion and enthusiasm for their science specialism and translating this amongst our young people. Our aim is to have specialist science teachers for each discipline, we have a Head of Biology and Chemistry and our existing Head of Physics has gained promotion and we are therefore seeking a leader/aspiring leader to replace him. Our aim is to also ensure that our specialist teachers are able to challenge and support one another be it through subject knowledge enhancement, pedagogy, or classroom culture. We are incredibly supportive of one another and look to share planning and resources through our science department-specific Google website. We are fully supported in using enrichment to develop the love of science amongst our students and are actively encouraged to take students on trips we work with a number of outside agencies and organisations for the betterment of our curriculum delivery and driving improvements in the science capital of our students.
