This is an excellent opportunity to join the Cardiology department at East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust and Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS trust. The successful candidate will join a service that prides itself in effective leadership, innovative thinking, and excellent teamwork. We strive to challenge our existing working practices and to constantly improve our service to deliver best practice guidance and to ensure that our patient outcomes are successful, and they feel valued during their visits to the Trust. This is a substantive appointment, based at the Lister Hospital in Stevenage but with clinical outpatient activity at other sites and cath lab sessions at the Royal Brompton Hospital. The Lister Hospital enjoys a unique geographical location close to London and Cambridge and the Trust has a reputation for our commitment to the highest standards of care, but also for our friendly and supportive approach. The successful applicant will be expected to be actively involved in the arrythmia service at East and North Herts NHS Trust, including outpatient clinics and cath lab sessions. The postholder will have arrhythmia cath lab sessions at the Royal Brompton Hospital. They will also contribute towards the general cardiology service at the Lister, including participation in the Cardiologist of the week rota which includes weekend cardiology ward rounds.
