Job description
Overview
We are looking for someone with a background in sales and a strong understanding of or interest in shipping and logistics to join a rapidly growing company.
Salary: circa £30,000
The Role
- To manage a portfolio of clients, developing the relationship and negotiating new sales. Portfolio will be increased with experience
- Calculate selling prices based on purchase costs, freight costs, storage costs and currency rates
- Enter full details of new sales contracts concluded into the Company IT system
- Monitor progress of sales contracts, attending to problems in the supply chain
- Take remedial actions as necessary to ensure the sales contracts are fulfilled as originally agreed with the customers
- To travel as necessary, meeting overseas clients and suppliers
Key Skills/Experience
- Sales experience within a logistics/shipping company would be a major advantage
- Educated to a minimum of A-Level standard or equivalent
- Good communication skills
- Outgoing, energetic, positive, honest, straightforward
- Role will appeal to an ambitious individual who wishes to join a rapidly-expanding business where their only limit on progression will be their own ability
