Job description
Cobtree Manor, based in Maidstone, is looking for a Golf Operations Manager to join the team. About to undertake a major clubhouse refurbishment and having recently been acquired by Get Golfing CIO - it's a super exciting time for the club. As the Golf Operations Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the day-to-day operations of our golf facilities and ensuring the highest level of service for our members and guests.
Responsibilities
- Manage the golf operations at our facilities, including overseeing golf reservations, tee-time management, and golf shop operations.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure the golf course is in excellent playing condition, including monitoring irrigation, maintenance schedules, and course improvements.
- Oversee the golf staff, providing training, coaching, and guidance to ensure exceptional customer service and efficient operations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to enhance golf operations, while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
- Work closely with the marketing team to promote golf events, memberships, and programs, and drive revenue growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with members, guests, and vendors to enhance the overall golf experience and drive customer satisfaction.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and innovations in golf operations to continuously improve our offerings.
Requirements
- Prior experience in golf operations management, ideally in a similar role within the golf industry.
- A strong passion for golf and a deep understanding of the game.
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Strong business acumen, with experience in budgeting, financial management, and revenue generation.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in golf management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to golf operations.
