Foyle Womens Aid are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as Kitchen Assistant for our new cafe, Cafe Central, at The Foyle Family Justice Centre. Taking and processing food orders. Basic food preparation and distribution..

Responsibilities

• The Kitchen Assistant will work along side the Café Supervisor and Chef to support the following.
• Basic food preparation and distribution.
• Cleaning and maintaining hygiene and cleansing of surfaces and kitchen equipment/utensils.
• Taking and processing food orders and payments.
• Liaising with other kitchen staff and working as part of a team.
• Attending staff meetings.
• Any other reasonable duties.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills

• Minimum educational qualifications (training will be provided on the job).
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to work flexible hours when required.
• Good organisational skills.

Desirable Skills

• Relevant qualifications in food preparation.
• Relevant qualifications in food hygiene.
• Experience of working in a café or other public outlet.

Further Information

The Employer is: FOYLE WOMENS AID. Although this is a part-time temporary opportunity, hours may be extended, and it could lead to a permanent position. The job advert may end before the closing date if requested by the employer.
