Strategic Projects and Policy Officer (Hybrid) needed in Trowbridge £16.75ph PAYE - Reference: RQ1173632
This role is based in Trowbridge, on a hybrid arrangement of 2-3 days a week in the office.
- The HR & OD Strategic Delivery Team is responsible for supporting the development of and implementing effective human resources strategies and policies to support the achievement of the corporate vision to be a high-performing council, providing value for money customer-focused services.
- This role will take the lead on a range of HR&OD development initiative projects and processes, which will include pay & reward and job evaluation.
- The successful candidate will be part of a team looking at our systems, policies, processes, and the culture and behaviour of our workforce in delivering our services, identifying and delivering activities that improve these areas, and ensuring we have a skilled, agile, and engaged workforce.
- This role will develop innovative ideas to improve the whole employee lifecycle including candidate attraction, performance and talent management, staff engagement and wellbeing, reward and benefits management, ensuring KPIs for employee retention and engagement are developed and met.
You will ideally have -
- With excellent communication and high-impact presentation skills, you will have the ability to motivate and encourage creativity in others. You will need to have a high level of personal motivation and be able to display professional credibility to influence senior managers to fully embrace initiatives.
- You will have excellent project management and organisation skills and be able to deliver at pace.
- You will be CIPD level 5 certificate in Human Resources and/or significant relevant experience in this field.
This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
