We are looking for enthusiastic, committed and proactive individuals, to take on the role as a Casual Residential Child Care Worker, to work across our Children’s Homes in Rochdale. We ask that you have a positive attitude and have the ability to be both adaptable and flexible. The role can be challenging at times, but equally, it can be incredibly rewarding too.
Our children and young people need the very best care, love, nurture and guidance, to help them work through their early life experiences and to develop the necessary skills, abilities and resilience to support them on the journey’s they take in their present and futures lives. The children and young people need committed individuals to help them through, what can be difficult times, and who are willing to go above and beyond to help the children and young people to succeed and have the opportunities, experiences and life chances that other children and young people do.
Our ‘model of care and practice’ is based on DDP (Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy) and PACE (Playfulness, Acceptance, Curiosity and Empathy) and as part of this, all our workers complete the Therapeutic Parenting with PACE training course.
We are looking for someone who will be a positive role model for our children and young people and who is committed to effectively safeguarding the children and young people we care for.
There are opportunities to develop in this role and the Service is currently expanding.
You must be over 21 years of age and have at least 2 years’ experience working with Children and Young People in a paid or voluntary capacity and hold an NVQ/Diploma Level 3 Working with Children and Young People or equivalent.
In accordance with Section 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 this post requires the ability to converse at ease with the members of the public and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
