Job description
Are you a motivated individual who is interested in a diverse project catalogue that encourages innovative thinking and building strong client relationships? My client are recruiting a GIS consultant to join their team in Reading. The team are focused on advanced spatial analytics, web-based hosting, and machine learning.
The team use GIS for a particular industry and any new member of staff would be expected to learn this specific way of working, outputs and GIS needs. Therefore, the ideal candidate will having a willingness to learn and adapt, and ideally good programming skills (e.g Python, JavaScript, ArcGIS API)

The team are operating hybrid working, 60% of the time in the office and 40% working from home.
The company
Key Responsibilities:
·Perform advanced geospatial analytics to deliver technical projects and meet the requirements of clients.
·Produce high quality graphical outputs.
·Prepare and maintain written technical reports.
·Work closely with the GIS team in ongoing development and implementation of standards for data creation, analysis, and management.
·Collaborate within a multidisciplinary practice.
·Support business development by identifying innovation opportunities.
·Mentor and assist junior members of the team in training and development.
·Partaking in CPD and personal development in association with a GIS accredited institution.
·Ensuring compliance with a high regard to SHEW (Safety, Health, Environmental and Well Being including application of the CDM Regulations and other legislation.
Required Skills
·Highly competent GIS consultant with in-depth knowledge of spatial data analysis though the ESRI platform with minimum 4 years of experience
·Qualified to at least a 2:1 in a relevant degree subject in GIS, Geography, Data Science, other relevant disciplines, or experience within the GIS industry.
·Good communicator, with good presentational skills.
·Hunger to expand new skills and technical knowledge.
·Ableto work full time in the UK andpassa basic security clearance.
