CNC Machinist – Job Summary:

We’re supporting our client, a leading Plastic Machine Manufacturer based in Luton, who are looking for a CNC Machinist to join their growing team. The successful CNC Machinist will have experience of Milling, CNC Programming and working with Tools.

Salary:                         £35,000 – £40,000

Responsibilities:

• Maintain standards of Housekeeping and Health & Safety.
• Setting and programming of CAM / Hurco, Haas or XYZ controls
• Operation and programming of Milling machines
• Repair/maintenance of Tooling
• Manufacture of new tooling to engineering drawings in line with timing plans.
• Liaise with toolmakers, Cad/Cam programmers and Designers.
• Reporting of any concerns, issues and repairs.
• Good verbal communication skills
• Work to the high tolerances
• Meeting Health and Safety standards supporting others to do the same
• Assist other areas of the business when required to carry out the same or similar tasks
• Any other reasonable Engineering duties required

About You:

• Time served CNC Miller Setter, Operator Programmer.
• Understanding technical drawings
• Proficient with Hurco, Haas & XYZ
• Ability to online/offline program CNC machines.
• Work to tight tolerances
• Must be able check own work
