Process Engineer

Location: Northwich, Cheshire, CW9 6JY.
Salary: £20,000.00-£45,000.00 per year depending on experience.
Contract: Full time, permanent.

We are now recruiting for a Process Manager to join our growing team!

As a Process Engineer you would have strong experience in the process industry with Project Management skills. You will be responsible for supporting the Directors in the conceptual design, detailed design construction & installation on various projects. You may be required to work on several Engineering projects at one time. Having excellent communication skills, you will be required to liaise with site personnel at all levels and subcontractors and manage and supervise contractors. The projects will be in various stages of progress from concept to construction and commissioning. You will have the ability to lead, drive and work within a small team and independently as necessary.

Process Engineer - Requirements

* You will currently be working as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer or Process Technician in a manufacturing environment and have qualifications in A Level Chemistry, as well as a degree in Chemical Engineering.
* The Position requires knowledge of chemical or industrial process design and engineering techniques.
* You will be responsible for maintaining and developing chemical manufacturing processes in relation to equipment and installations.
* You will work closely with manufacturing management, operatives and other engineers as a specialist in our client's continuous production facility, predominantly focusing on the chemical process of production lines.
* Key to your role will be the ability to communicate, persuade and train people of all levels within the business.
* Involved in team and process review meetings, you will be a key figure discussion where current and future process developments, best practices and improvements are agreed.
* You will possess at least 2 years' experience as a Process Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer, Quality Engineer or Process Technician in a manufacturing environment.
* You will be responsible for planning and independent working, requiring judgement in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.
* You will devise new approaches to problem solutions.
* You will prepare or modify drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs.
* You will monitor work for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and Client and/or ProLogical standards.

Process Engineer - Responsibilities:

* Conceptual designs and process development reports.
* Block Flow Diagrams (BFD) and Process Flow Diagrams (PFD).
* Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID).
* Process engineering calculations.
* Material and energy balances.
* Basis of design process scope documents.
* Equipment layouts.
* Process equipment specifications, data sheets, and bid evaluations.
* User Requirement Specifications (URS).
* Project status reports and programs.
* Equipment lists, line lists, and tie-in lists.
* Process system construction specifications.

Further responsibilities include: (depending on experience)

* The preparation scopes of work from initial concept through the full project life cycle.
* Gain estimations and negotiate as necessary;
* You will oversee projects from start to finish, including kick off meetings, review meetings & operations liaison in line with standard Prological Ltd Project Plan procedure.
* You will issue enquiry documents and select the appropriate contractor.
* You will prepare approval documentation and raise purchase orders.
* You will oversee the site work through to completion and will be responsible for all aspects of the contract and site supervision.
* Escalate problems quickly to the Senior Management and help to identify and instigate solutions.
* Keep up to date information on Project Management systems
* Attend customer site UK wide for project meetings Adhering to all Prological Ltd policies and procedures.
