Salary: £28000 - £41333 Per year

GSL Education are actively on the lookout for a dedicated and experienced FQT-Secondary Teacher to work with one of our SEMH Secondary Schools in Basingstoke. We consider applications from unqualified teachers to work as cover supervisors as well.

 


 
Available Roles:

 

  • English Teacher:
Daily Duties: Establish a nurturing classroom environment, tailor lesson plans to cater to the unique needs of SEMH students, employ innovative teaching methods, and provide personalized support. Collaborate closely with the SENCO to address emotional and mental health considerations within the English curriculum.

 

  • Math Teacher:
Daily Duties: You'll design and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs, incorporating practical applications of mathematical concepts. Collaboration with the SENCO and other support staff to address individual student needs is crucial in this role.

 

  • Science Teacher:
Daily Duties: Create a dynamic and accessible science curriculum for students with social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your daily duties may include hands-on experiments, differentiated lesson planning, and collaboration with support staff to address individual challenges. Building positive relationships with students and fostering a curiosity for science within a nurturing environment are key aspects of the role.

  • ICT Teacher:
Daily Duties: Integrate technology seamlessly into the curriculum, design interactive and engaging lessons, provide personalized one-on-one technology support, and collaborate with the SENCO to address specific learning needs of students facing social, emotional, and mental health challenges.

 

 

 

 
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Strong behaviour management.
  • Comfort working in environments with challenging behaviour.
  • A passion and desire to work with students who have additional needs.
  • Resilience and patience.
  • Strong understanding of SEMH educational needs and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS, PGCE).
