Groundworks Team Leader

Permanent

Newport (with regular travel)

Up to £30,000

Our client is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Team Leader to join their team on a permanent basis. Working within the horticultural industry, this is an opportunity to be part of a fantastic growing company.

This role requires travelling daily to various locations, with some overnight stays.

Leading a small team on various exciting projects throughout the UK, you will have a variety of responsibilities which will include:

• Liaising with client and site staff - so excellent communication skills are a must!
• Team management including monitoring hours and reporting
• Planning the logistics of jobs
• Ensuring all materials, labour and equipment are ready.
• Preparation of risk assessment
• Health and safety responsibilities
• Providing regular updates to the management team.
• Ensuring equipment and machinery is always fit for purpose.

What you will require to be successful:

• Flexibility for additional or varied hours, including overnight stays and working away from home
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Numerate and articulate
• Driving license essential
