Job description
Abbey Signs is a Signage company specializing in signage solutions for small businesses and corporate clients. We are currently seeking a Sign Fitter to join our team. As a Sign Fitter, you will play a key role in installing and maintaining various types of signage, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Install and fit signage according to customer specifications and requirements
- Ensure accurate placement and alignment of signage based on architectural plans and site assessments
- Safely assemble and disassemble signage structures, ensuring proper use of tools and equipment
- Collaborate with the design team to review technical drawings and blueprints for sign installations
- Conduct on-site inspections and troubleshoot any issues related to sign installation
- Perform preventive maintenance on signage, including cleaning, repair, and replacement of components as needed
- Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety standards to prevent accidents or injuries
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in sign installation or a related field preferred
- Knowledge of sign fabrication techniques, including vinyl cutting, electrical wiring, and structural mounting
- Familiarity with various types of signage materials, such as acrylic, metal, and illuminated signs
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and signage specifications
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision in sign installation
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, as well as equipment such as cranes and lifts
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to different job sites as required
