Job description

Seeking an experienced Test Manager who will have responsibility for managing all aspects of Testing across a programme to include a re-platform and migration of a legacy system.

This role will ideally be based on a Hybrid working pattern from either our Bournemouth or Exeter offices - happy to discuss further

NOTE this role is a 10 month Fixed Term Contract

About you

• Experience at Test Manager level with experience of managing large and complex projects across multiple platforms
• Experience of managing complex new system deliveries, integration and migration programmes
• Life Insurance experience, ideally across different projects and operational areas
• Strong understanding of different development methodologies and approaches and the techniques employed to test them
• Must maintain an up-to-date view of industry standards and trends and demonstrate the ability to assess these and adapt and apply as appropriate
• Able to display a strong understanding of risk-based testing techniques and approaches
• Strong knowledge of different software release methodologies and strategies
• Superior communication skills and the ability to present summary level information that is accurate and relevant
• High level presentation skills including regular presentation at Manager and Senior Manager level
• Demonstrate a history of creating and maintaining a department or team where there was a culture of providing first class service
• A proven history of creating and maintaining a department or team where there was a culture of continuous improvement backed up by processes that drive this
• Experience of managing a large department with input to budgetary modelling and responsibility for testing spend
• Superior knowledge of JIRA

Details

• Managing a programme resource plan to ensure that we have appropriate skill levels and availability
• Managing all of the test resource allocated to the programme
• Definition of Test Strategy, Process and Approach along with all relevant Testing documentation for in scope platforms/projects - ensuring this is in line with Business Change best practice guidelines
• Managing relationships with third party providers and partners as required to include formal reporting where require
• Responsibility for all Test Reporting coming out of the programme
• Ensure that we regularly review and QA the quality of our Test Documentation, Conditions, Scripts and Coverage
• Ensure that we maintain all evidence required to demonstrate our adherence to good testing practice and process
