Job description
- *Early Years Manager**
- *30 hours per week - TERM TIME an option**
- *From £14-£16 per hour**
Our client based in Maidenhead is looking for an Early Years Manager on a Part time basis.
Key duties:-
- Promote a high standard of quality within the nursery, including practice, environment and resources to meet the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Ensure appropriate planning and assessment is in place and is accurately maintained by all staff
- Support the development of good practice in relation to special educational needs and inclusion
- Implement and support others in delivering the EYFS in line with current practice and guidelines
- Plan and organise activities in each room alongside the team
- Create and maintain a culture of self-evaluation and reflective practice throughout the nursery
- Induct, support, train, mentor and appraise all staff to deliver high quality childcare practice
- Identify, address and support individual training needs and self-development such as supervisions and appraisals
- Work in conjunction with the Early Years Quality Manager
- Undertake any other duties as reasonably requested by line manager
- Mentor apprentices and liaise with their assessor to ensure course work is on track
- Manage any events in the nursery and ordering of resources
- Manage weekly staff rota and cover absence.
Essential Qualifications Required
- Minimum full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification
- Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Safer Recruitment training
- Pediatric First Aid
Knowledge
- Excellent working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Excellent knowledge of the current Early Years Inspection Framework
- Thorough knowledge of and appreciation for child safeguarding and welfare
Experience Required
Minimum of 2 years recent experience of working in a Nursery setting within a senior role i.e. Nursery Manager or Deputy Nursery Manager
