Job description
On behalf of our client, NRL Recruitment are currently looking for Operational Controllers for work in the M9 area of Manchester.
Essentially our client is seeking
strong operational controllers who have experience of working on Highways Maintenance Contracts.
It is essential that you have a strong eye for attention to detailwith a key emphasis onaccuracy, as the role involves elements of data entry. The hours are Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm and the role is 100%site based.
We will consider candidates: - Whoare able to deal with/ learn Asset management systems – having used Mayrise would be advantageous
- Who have a strong technical ability in data inputting with key emphasis on accuracy .
- Who have the ability to run and present accurate reports on a regular basis
- Who have a strong background in admin and technical ability to operate internal systems
- Who have detailed operational knowledge
- Who have understanding of emergency and winter service operations
- Who have Supervision experience
- Who have experience of planning/co-ordination
Your Responsibilities: - Approval of draft resource programme
- Manage the daily activities of gangs/operations against programme, including direct contact with gangs when appropriate, in line with agreed timescales and in accordance with SLAs and commercial contract
- Co-ordination with supervisors in the event of on-site issues
- Review suspended and rejected jobs on Works Management system
- Level 1 review of completed jobs for quality and accuracy of data, including details of labour, plant, materials and photos
- Produce Daily and weekly report of gang activity and performance data
- Schedule and co-ordination of emergency and less than 24 hour works (current day)
- Liaise with Supervisors, provide updates of performance
- Review quality of programme with pre-works co-ordinator
- Keep client updated on planned work activity
- Liaise with emergency services
- Communication with all parties to ensure daily performance targets are met
- Deliver and continuously improve service levels
- Maximise the productivity of the resources through reduction in wasted time, materials and operational costs
Required Skills - Basic programming of work
- Competent in Microsoft Office
