Function: Assistant Management Accountant – Projects

Contract: Permanent

Location: Sunbury (hybrid role, with a combination of office and remote work)

Salary: £35,000 - £42,000 (depending on experience), including company bonus and the opportunity to develop your career with fantastic training opportunities to qualified level

As we continue to grow, we now have created a brand new position, to support the Head of Project Accounting to drive profitability and provide additional support for this high profile business critical area. You will be working with 7 different international entities and will take responsibility for project accounting activities; including complex intercompany transactions and you will play a key role in the ERP migration to SAP.

This will be ideal for someone part qualified, with relevant experience, to be supported to get qualified and further your career.

Key responsibilities:

• Overseeing the financial aspects of projects in 7 entities
• Supporting the Head of Project Accounting in liaising closely with internal stakeholders to ensure the correct reporting of all project income and expenditure
• Month end close activities including calculation, preparation and entry of journals
• Preparation of balance sheet accounts including accruals and deferred income
• Owning the weekly timesheets process to ensure accurately and on time entry and assist in ensuring maximum time utilisation
• Assisting during annual audits
• Additional ad hoc reporting/analysis
• Other duties as and when required to assist the wider finance function

Skills Profile

• Proven experience in a similar role / experience
• Project accounting experience desirable but not essential
• Studying CIMA/ACCA or equivalent
• Good understanding of accounting skills
• Analytical, organised and methodical approach
• High level of numeracy and literacy
• Ability to work to strict deadlines
• Ability to work on own initiative and take ownership
• Good communication skills, written and spoken.
• Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Attention to detail
• Competent on excel and using formulas and ability to deal with large quantities of data
