About the role

We are a successful Further Education (FE) team based at the Kedleston Road campus in Derby which has a clear vision to make sure our students are prepared for the rigours of an undergraduate degree.

We are looking to recruit an individual to teach adults on our Foundation Pathways Programme, which is designed for students who do not have the relevant qualifications to start an undergraduate degree, or mature students who have been out of education for a long period.

You will also assess and record students’ progress on a regular basis and deliver effective lessons using a range of online platforms (for example Microsoft teams).

Our tutors will need to be adaptable, creative and resourceful in the face of the current challenges in education. We are a team of around twenty teaching staff, and many have either industry experience or postgraduate qualifications such as a master’s or a PhD. You will work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that learners receive a high level of teaching and learning.

We also have a dedicated admin team to assist students from the point of initial enquiry to successfully progressing onto level four study. You will also have the opportunity to be involved in the future direction of both pathways. The ideal candidate would be able to deliver level 3 Business on both of our on-campus courses at Kedleston Road. This is for three hours on a Wednesday afternoon or a Thursday morning

Actual hours and days will be described in a ‘Schedule of Work’.
