Job Description
As a Credit Controller your main responsibilities are:
- Manage a portfolio of NHS and local authority clients, with a total value of up to £45 million in annual revenue
- Ensure monthly cash and overdue debt are met, along with key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Provide support to senior management by providing query/invoice/payment updates
- Produce an updated Aged Debt report, including analysis of overdue debt with clear and concise commentary on customer issues
- Resolve complex rate and split-funded billing queries by referring to internal agreements and collaborating with billing team, regional finance, and operations for timely resolution
- Reconcile and allocate unallocated cash and credit note balances in a timely manner
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Understand customer operations and determine the best approach to meet payment terms
The Successful Applicant
The successful credit controller with have the below
- Effective deadline management and prioritisation skills with a professional and focused manner.
- Highly organised and methodical
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Excellent communication skills, including liaison with stakeholders at all levels, including cross-functional department managers.
- Experience and knowledge of allocation, posting, debit and credit processes with excellent reconciliation abilities.
- Desirable qualifications or experience including CICM or AAT, credit control, problem-solving, analytical and interpersonal skills, and time management skills
