Job description
As a 3D Designer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing innovative packaging solutions for a diverse range of brands in the beauty and alcohol sectors. You're a creative, through-and-through, who believes in the power of design to not only create beautiful things but also to ignite change and make things better. In addition to your salary everyone at JDO gets:
Fri-Yays: Beyond the standard holiday allowance of 20 days (plus a day for your birthday if it falls on a weekday), you get the last Friday of each month off. We also close between Christmas and New Year.

Responsibilities
Creativity:
o Deliver creativity that ‘Creates Belief’, meeting JDO’s high standards of creative excellence
o Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify innovative packaging trends and opportunities for improvement
o Conceptualise and design structural packaging solutions, considering functional requirements, aesthetics and brand guidelines
o Develop detailed 3D renderings, prototypes and mock-ups to visualise and communicate design concepts effectively
o Create production-ready files and specifications for manufacturing, ensuring accuracy and feasibility
o Collaborate as a member of the JDO team, allowing yourself to be both challenged and inspired as the team strives for the best solution
o Present your work internally with clarity and confidence, and be able to relate your design solution directly to the challenges of brief
o Value constructive criticism and be open to feedback that strengthens your work

Experience Necessary
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Graphic Design, Packaging Design or a related field, or equivalent experience.
3+ years in the industry as a 3D/Structural Designer
A portfolio of high-quality work that showcases clear thinking, original ideas and strong creativity – with at least one project you’ve taken from initial concepts to artwork
Strong understanding of packaging materials, manufacturing processes and structural design principles
Proficiency in 3D-modeling software, preferably Cinema 4D or other software like SolidWorks, Rhino or SketchUp
Location
We are open to experts and highly experienced candidates world-wide, however you must be able to work within UK business hours.
For those less experienced candidates we will require you to work hybrid in either our London or Tunbridge Wells Studios.
