Are you an experienced Senior Design Manager who is looking for a new role with a reputable, leading Tier 1 construction company?
This is a great opportunity to join an established contractor who have a healthy pipeline of prestigious projects and specialise in the commercial, healthcare, education, residential, sports & leisure sectors working on projects valued in excess of £100m.
The role - Senior Design Manager As a Senior Design Manager, you will be working closely with the project team to deliver a large high rise residential development in Manchester and will be reporting into the Project Lead to manage and coordinate the design elements for the project.
Key duties & Responsibilities: - Have input into the selection of the design team.
- Agree the design team's responsibilities and scope of services
- Agree tender and construction programme with the design team
- Input into the Employers Requirement/Contractor Proposal Compatibility
- Ensure the design recognises all aspects of health & safety, environmental and quality related matters.
- Input into the selection of design sub - contractors.
- Mange design consultants and sub consultants along with design subcontractors to ensure correct and timely delivery of all design related information for the execution of the works on site.
- Manage design co-ordinators and design managers and act as mentor to them for the projects they are involved with.
- Undertake design audits on projects as and when required and report back to the director in charge.
