Job description
Robert Half Cambridge are partnered with a business in Peterborough in their search for an Assistant Accountant to join their Finance Department.
The successful candidate will have responsibilities including balance sheet reconciliations and supporting with more transactional elements of the finance function.
This role is based in the office on a full time basis and paying a salary up to £28,000 with study support.
Responsibilities:
- Book keeping entries for various businesses
- Scanning and allocating invoices for review and authorisation by the appropriate budget holders
- Entering signed invoices into the system
- Preparing payment runs
- Regular reconciliation of suppliers' statements
- Liaising with suppliers regarding information and account balances
- Creation of sales invoices as and when required, including inter-company recharges
- Issuing customer statements and answering basic account enquiries
Skills and qualifications:
- Ability to meet strict deadlines
- Working towards an accounting qualification
- Competent in the use of Excel and other Microsoft packages such as Word, Outlook.
- Strong interpersonal & communication skills
