Job description
Main purpose of role: To manage and support UK, Europe & Caspian region IT systems and services. To liaise with Head of IT to develop and implement IT projects.
Key Accountabilities
- Liaise with senior management to propose, agree, and deliver IT services in line with IT strategy.
- Deliver and manage IT projects within budgets and timescales.
- Assist with corporate IT projects where required.
- Plan, build and implement & maintain UK&C business systems.
- Responsible for adhering to IT policy, procedure, and process, and ensuring rest of team comply.
- Develop and propose IT requests for major/strategic changes to infrastructure and/or systems and services for submission and first stage approval by Head of IT in line with GALP.
- Ensures that the IT Teams are maintaining and updating mission critical web and database servers (predominantly Microsoft) hosted mainly within the company’s own building and some externally hosted services; all according to approved company standards and procedures.
- Contribute and play an active part in ensuring the company is compliant and maintains accreditations in line with legislations.
- Manages the IT resources / manpower efficiently to ensure all standard maintenance and administration and support of systems and services are provided efficiently and effectively to all businesses.
- Manages and co-ordinates IT contracts, renewals, and maintenance agreements.
- Oversees IT purchasing for UK&C region in line with GALP.
- Responsible for development of the UK&C IT Team.
- Provide input to IT policy, process, and procedure within UK&C GM.
- Provide input and support to other regions within the group where projects and systems require.
Person Specification
Knowledge :
- Strong background in IT administration and support.
- Understanding of cyber tools – E-mail security, Vulnerability management etc.
- Understanding of business systems and translating process into systems.
- Use of reporting tools and ability to create system reports desirable.
- Ability to manage, motivate and develop IT Team.
- Ability to work and communicate efficiently with all levels of staff, and in and non-technical manner.
- Database and Business System administration
Qualifications and certification:
- Degree level qualification in IT related course or demonstrable experience
Experience:
- Solid people management experience in similar role.
- Experience in Microsoft Active Directory, Storage, servers, and virtualisation.
- Experience in managing and maintaining M365 environments.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills that can integrate with existing IT team.
- Ability to deal with global workforce.
- Ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships across Internal/External Stakeholders.
