Long-Term Lunchtime SEN Support Assistant for ASD Student
Job Type: Part-time (5 days a week), 2 hours per day
Working Hours: 11:30 am - 1:30 pm
Salary: £13.50 per hour

Role Overview: As a Long-Term Lunchtime SEN Support Assistant, you will be working one-to-one with an ASD student, offering essential support during lunchtime hours. This role is ideal for individuals seeking flexible hours, particularly mothers and those looking for part-time positions.
Responsibilities:
One-to-One Support:
- Provide dedicated support to an ASD student during lunchtime.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment to ensure the student's comfort and well-being.
Assist with Daily Activities:
- Aid the student in navigating lunchtime routines and activities.
- Encourage social interactions and communication skills development.
Behavioral Support:
- Implement strategies to address behavioral challenges and promote positive behaviors.
- Collaborate with the school's SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to implement individualized support plans.
Communication with Parents and Staff:
- Maintain open communication with parents and relevant school staff to ensure a holistic approach to the student's development.
- Provide regular updates on the student's progress and any concerns observed.
Documentation:
- Keep detailed records of the student's daily activities, achievements, and challenges.
- Contribute to the development and review of the student's Individual Education Plan (IEP).
Professional Development:
- Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills in supporting students with ASD.
- Stay informed about the latest developments and research in the field of special education.
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with ASD or other special educational needs.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine interest in supporting students' development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
