Transport Support Administrator

A quick look at the role.

The Transport Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration duties of operations and transport.

The Biffa division you’ll be supporting is municipal

A willingness to adapt and develop skill-sets and knowledge which is determined by the role/business.

Ability to plan, organise and prioritise effectively.

The role will also ensure all Health and Safety standards are maintained and ensure that environmental and O Licence compliance is maintained.

Dealing with the daily administration for the operations and transport team.

The daily processing of crew/CCTV monitoring. (data input)

Supporting the Transport Manager with administration

Updating employee information in line with company and legislative requirements

To ensure the health and safety database is updated

Record, monitor and maintain PPE records for the depot

Assist the Company in achieving its published Business Objectives and complying with ISO procedures.

Must comply with all company policies and procedures that are relevant to this position

Administrative tasks and housekeeping.

To be successful in this position you must be able to demonstrate:

ESSENTIAL

Excellent customer service skills to both internal and external customers

Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative, managing oneself and workload

Accurate record keeping, to include filling duties.

Excellent knowledge of Excel

Ability to input data quickly and accurately.

Ability to work to targets

Attention to detail

Good time management skills with the ability to multi-task

Ability to remain calm and resolve problems

DESIRABLE

Experience in a position of similar responsibility in Services or Logistics industry, as an administrator or similar role

Neat and legible handwriting

Ability to interact with others

Attention to detail

Be a team-player

Able to work with minimum supervision

The successful candidate will receive full training towards company IT platforms and policies and procedures
