Job Description
- To Implement and ensure that planned preventative maintenance is carried out in line with CMMS system.
- Action any reported observations/concerns arising from a PPM activity.
- Assist the maintenance team by attending breakdowns as to quickly effect a repair and therefore maximise uptime.
- Adhere to all health, safety and environmental policies as well as statutory requirements.
- Suggest and implement plant improvements.
- Contribute to the control of the departmental budget by accurately analysing purchase requirements .
- Monitor, request and purchase spares in a timely manner to maintain plant and equipment.
- Collate documentation to enable a traceable and auditable process.
- Take part in cross functional task teams to improve machine/process reliability.
- Attend any departmental audit being conducted by either internal or external personnel.
- Assist the maintenance team whilst mentoring them with skills and knowledge
- Supervise contractors and ensure that they work safely in line with their documented RAMS.
- Attend daily toolbox talks as required to enable quick effective communications of any issues.
- Interact daily with the maintenance team, operations, office and yard staff to share knowledge of the plant operations whilst improving overall performance.
- Undertake reasonable tasks as allocated by the company in addition to those defined
- Effectively supervise, motivate and develop the maintenance team · Review performance of individuals within the team
- Carry out 1 to 1's with Team Leader's
- Carry out disciplinary investigations as required
- Managing absence within the business in accordance with the company absence policy.
- Manage and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct daily planning meetings for Night, Afternoon, Day and Weekend work
- Work closely with the Maintenance Co-ordinator ensuring stock is made available (review spares).
- Assist with Route Cause analysis
- Attend the morning meetings
- Carry out Probation reviews ·
- Gemba daily walk of workshops
- Own Workshop 5s · Attend monthly Health & Safety meetings (EWG)
